CAN supported participation of and hosted pre-conference strategy meeting for 20 caregivers at the conference, 8 spoke on panels with others delivering key messages in plenary. The outcome document “Roadmap to Universal Access to Universal Access to care and support by 2015” includes key messages developed by caregivers
CAN hosted the first ever Networking Zone for and by community caregivers in the Global Village: over a period of 4 days, 20 sessions took place, with 15-30 participants per sessions, i.e. regular high attendance. CAN successfully lobbied and supported CCC members to secure a spot for the first speaker ever addressing care and support issues in one of the IAC plenary speeches.
